Honeymoon

Well as you may have guessed, we finally had the chance to make a blog of our family. By our family, I don't simply mean Jewels and I. We have 2 Black Labs and 1 cat. That is of course not all, because we would be nothing without our wonderful families. Julia's parents and siblings are fantastic and we love them to death, and what can we say about Matt's parents besides the word WONDERFUL!!!!!! Well, about 3 weeks after the wedding we finally got to take a honeymoon. Now, as you look at the pictures of our honeymoon you probably ask yourself Who in their right mind takes a honeymoon with the brides family? The answer is US!!!!!!!!!! We went on our honeymoon out to Maryland where Julia's sister Christina lives, and about 2 days behind us were Gail, George, Thomas, and Lizzy who drove up from Colorado. Don't worry, we still had a blast and got our alone time. While in Maryland we drove out to Julia's grandmas Beach house in Bethany Beach, Delaware. Julia and I took our time and walked the beach a couple of nights just by ourselves. The whole vacation was extremely fun and we had a blast with the niece and nephew and the rest of the family(PS, the baby in the first picture is Julia's niece, so no comments about us having a kid!!!) Don't worry, we will get our own getaway by ourselves soon hopefully. Matt is looking into cruise prices for sometime in the New Year. Anyways, enjoy pictures of our Honeymoon and look for more posts to come. Matt and Jewels

We are Married

Julia and I have now been married for just over 2 months. Yes we are still newlyweds. She is wonderful and I am so excited to be her husband. Her family is great and I love my new in-laws so much. For those of you who don't know already, I will give you a little history about Julia and I and how we met and our period of courtship. Julia and I met in January 2006 on Myspace. We talked online for 2 weeks before we met at her parents house. When I came in to her parents house, Julia had to look perfect and so therefore was in the basement getting ready for about another hour after I got here. I got to meet her wonderful mother and got to talk to her sister on the phone while she was getting ready. Her mom set about 10 different plates of food in front of me (most of them vegetables). This was, of course, before she knew I did not like vegetables. Well Julia and I started dating after doing a triple date with my friends Mike and Conlan and their girlfriends. Exactly one year later, on February 6, 2007 I proposed at the top of the Westminster bell tower with my parents and her family there. Everyone knew but her and I even had little Thomas and Lizzy in on the proposal with me. About a year and a half later, we got married on June 24, 2008. We were married at the Butterfly Pavilion and it was beautiful. We are now happily married and doing great. Here are some pictures of the wedding. Talk to you soon... Matt and Jewels
